Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 04 May 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 22,420.00  with a loss of  -0.22% percent or  -50.00 point .The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,660.00  with a loss of  -0.43% percent or -46.45 point.  The Hang Seng Future is trading at 29,770.00  with a loss of  -0.03% percent or -9.00  point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Singapore stocks were an upside outlier, with the Straits Times Index STI, -0.85%   climbing less than 0.1% as equities there are supported by upbeat earnings news. The city-state’s biggest bank, DBS Group Holdings Ltd. D05, -1.64%  , climbed 0.7% Wednesday to move deeper into record territory following Monday’s first-quarter report. The index is at levels last seen in late 2007, when it set a record high of 5%

Notable individual movers include Samsung BioLogics 207940, -7.82%  , which tumbled as much as 20% after South Korea’s financial watchdog accused the company of accounting-rules violations. It denies the allegation. It closed down 17%.

U.S. market were mixed on Thursday.For the day the Dow is trading at 23,930.15 up with +0.022% percent or +5.17 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,629.73  with a loss of  -0.23% percent or -5.94 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,088.15  with a loss of  -0.18% percent or  -12.75 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,546.56  with a loss of  -0.54%  percent or -8.36 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 947.08  with a loss of  -0.66% percent or   –6.33 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,872.56  with a loss of  -0.17% percent or  -3.27   point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,153.93  with a loss of  -0.23% percent or  -2.71 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,560.62 with a loss of  -0.25% percent or  -3.95 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,458.50 with a loss of  -0.23% percent or  -3.34 point;
