Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 27 June 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 22,120.00 with a loss of  -0.49% percent or  -110.00 point . The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,675.30  with a loss of  -0.85% percent or -91.55 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 28,856.00 with a loss of – 0.34% percent or -97.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Asian stock markets were mixed early Wednesday, as rising oil prices and trade tensions continued to set the tone for trading

Japan’s Nikkei NIK, -0.31%   fell 0.5%, with oil consumers lagging on crude’s overnight pop following a U.S. official’s comments warning the world to end Iranian oil imports or face sanctions. Major shipper Mitsui OSK 9104, -1.52%   was down 3.4% while airline operator ANA 9202, -1.60%   fell 1.6%. Conversely, energy stocks were up with oil explorer Japan Petroleum Exploration1662, +4.75%   rising 1.9% and distributor JXTG 5020, +6.35%   climbing 2%.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,283.11 up  with +0.12% percent or  +30.31 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,723.06  up with +0.22% percent or  +5.99 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,561.63 up with +0.39% percent or +29.62 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,362.09 with a loss of -1.80% percent or -519.31 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,813.18 with a loss of  -1.10% percent or  -31.33 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,252.78  with  a loss of -0.67% percent or  -237.26 point at 12:15 PM.
