Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 31 July 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 22,510.00 up with +0.04%  percent or +10.00  point .The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 11,327.50  with a loss of -0.20% percent or -76.40 point.  The Hang Seng Future is trading at 28,490.00 with a loss of -0.65% percent or -202.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Asian stocks were mixed in early trading Tuesday, as investors awaited a statement from the Bank of Japan’s policy meeting.

Japan’s Nikkei NIK, +0.04%   fell early but made up ground, and was last down 0.3%. There was speculation that the Bank of Japan could lower its inflation target to 1.5%, and possibly change the yield target for the 10-year government bond TMBMKJP-10Y, -51.01% . Shares of Fast Retailing 9983, +2.14%   jumped 2%, while Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group 8316, -2.74%   and Toyota7203, -2.51%   fell.

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,306.83 with a loss of -0.57% percent or -144.23 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,802.60  with a loss of -0.58% percent or -16.22 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,630.00 with a loss of -1.39% percent or -107.42 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,553.72 up with +0.039% percent or+8.88 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,604.76 with a loss of -0.45% percent or  -128.37 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,876.40 up with +0.26% percent or +7.35  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,429.71 with a loss of – 0.17% percent or  -64.69  point at 12:15 PM.
