Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 21 November 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 21,593.00 with a loss of -2.95% percent or -662.50 point . The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,615.00 up with +1.06% percent or +111.15 point. The Hang Seng Future is trading at 25,904.00 up with +1.38% percent or +353.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 was down 0.30% in early afternoon trade in Tokyo, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was down 0.50%.

In China, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index was lower by 0.11% while the Shanghai Composite was down 0.14%.

The index was pulled lower by auto giants Nissan and Mitsubishi following the arrest of Carlos Ghosn, head of the Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi alliance.

Nissan lost more than 5.45% and Mitsubishi lost 6.85%.

Elsewhere, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 1.9% in late trade, while the Shanghai Composite was down more than 2%.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,465.64  with a loss of -2.21% percent or  -551.80 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,641.89  with a loss of -1.82% percent or -48.84 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 6,908.82  with a loss of -1.70% percent or -119.65  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,507.54 with a loss of -0.35% percent or -75.58 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,916.80 up with +0.30% percent or +76.46 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,651.51 up with +0.21% percent or  +5.65 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 2,651.51 up with +0.21% percent or +5.65 point at 12:15 PM.
