Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 21 January 2019

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 20,702.00  with a loss of  -0.09% percent or -18.00 point .The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,988.50 up with +0.56% percent or +61.35 point.  The Hang Seng Future is trading at 27,193.50 up with +0.35% percent or +85.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Japan’s Nikkei advanced to a more than one-month high on Monday, tracking gains in U.S. shares that helped buoy cyclical stocks such as shippers, while a weaker yen boosted exporters.

The Nikkei share average .N225 rose 0.3 percent to 20,719.33, its highest close since Dec. 19.

The broader Topix .TOPX rose 0.6 percent to 1,566.37, with only 1.12 billion shares changing hands, the lowest level since September.
