Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 23 July. 2020

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 22,878.00  up with +0.56% percent or +128.00 point.The  Nifty Future is trading at 11,215.80 up with +0.95% percent or +105.20 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 25,240.00 up with +0.53% percent or +134.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Philippine shares fell for the third straight session on Thursday as domestic coronavirus cases topped 1,000 for a seventh successive day and renewed U.S.-China tensions weighed on a number of emerging Asian markets.

Stock markets in Taiwan .TWII and South Korea .KS11 tracked a roughly half percent fall in Shanghai shares after Beijing on Wednesday called the shutdown of its Houston consulate an “unprecedented escalation” of tensions with the United States. shares also weakened as the country slid into recession in the second quarter.

For the day the Dow is trading at 27,005.84  up with +0.62% percent or +165.44 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,276.02 up up with +0.57% percent or +18.72 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 10,706.13 up with +0.24% percent or +25.76 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,188.67 up with +0.52% percent or +130.73  point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 3,325.11 with a loss of –0.24% percent or –0.24% point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,079.69  up with +0.55% percent or +208.17   point at 12:15 PM.
