The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 27,568.0 with a loss of -1.19% percent or -332.0 point.The Nifty Future is trading at 17,288.0 with a loss of -0.52% or -90.3 point. The Hang Seng Future is trading at 19,581.0 with a loss of –1.64% percent or -326.0 point.
TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
Chinese and Taiwanese stocks plummeted on Monday ahead of a possible trip by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taipei, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index led losses across Asian markets.
Investors were wary of political tensions stemming from Pelosi’s potential trip to Taiwan- which has been vehemently opposed by China. The House of Representatives Speaker is currently on a tour of Asia.
