TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The biggest gainers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co. (T: 5706 ), which rose 8.75% or 270.0 points to trade at 3355.0 at the close. Shionogi & Co., Ltd. (T: 4507 ) added 6.56% or 396.0 points to end at 6434.0 and DOWA Holdings Co., Ltd. (T: 5714 ) was up 5.43% or 235.0 points to 4565.0 in late trade.
