Meanwhile, Fujikura Ltd. added 12.82% or 589.00 points to end at 5,185.00, while Bandai Namco Holdings Inc was up 10.50% or 513.00 points to 5,398.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were M3 Inc, which fell 16.89% or 311.00 points to trade at 1,530.00 at the close. Fujifilm Holdings Corp. declined 16.55%, or 642.00 points, to end at 3,236.00, while Lasertec Corp was down 13.55%, or 5,870.00 points, to 37,460.00. On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the number of advancing stocks surpassed those that declined, with a tally of 1917 to 1547, while 288 remained unchanged.
The measure of implied volatility for Nikkei 225 options experienced a decline of 9.95%, settling at 29.78. For September delivery, the price increased by 0.74%, or 0.57, reaching $77.86 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in October increased by 1.10% or 0.91 to reach $83.40 a barrel, while the other commodity climbed by 1.32% or 56.90 to trade at $4,356.50 a troy ounce.
