Nikkei Futures

Japan equities experienced an uptick at the close on Thursday, driven by advancements in the Real Estate, Banking, and Textile sectors, which propelled shares upward. At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 experienced an increase of 0.53%. The biggest gainers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co Ltd, which rose 5.30% or 80.50 points to trade at 1,598.00 at the close. Japan Steel Works Ltd added 4.87% or 346.00 points to end at 7,453.00, while Nintendo Co Ltd was up 4.29% or 349.00 points to 8,475.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co., which fell 6.70% or 1,525.00 points to trade at 21,235.00 in late trade. Resonac Holdings Corp declined 4.03% or 570.00 points to end at 13,560.00, while Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. decreased by 3.89% or 364.00 points to 9,000.00. On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the number of advancing stocks surpassed those that declined, with a tally of 2,595 to 875, while 269 remained unchanged. The Nikkei Volatility, which gauges the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, decreased by 7.30% to 28.44.

Crude oil for October delivery experienced a decline of 1.41%, decreasing by 1.44 to settle at $100.99 per barrel. In the commodities market, Brent oil for November delivery experienced a decline of 1.64%, decreasing by 1.74 to reach $104.09 per barrel. Meanwhile, the December Gold Futures contract saw a reduction of 0.88%, falling by 38.55 to trade at $4,348.95 per troy ounce. USD/JPY decreased by 0.40% to 155.63, whereas EUR/JPY declined by 0.27% to 178.69.
