The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 22,710.00 with a loss of  –0.44%percent or –100.00 point .The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,765.20 up with +0.74% percent or +78.95 point.  The Hang Seng Future is trading at 31,379.00   with a loss of  -0.49% percent or -156.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Asian markets climbed in early Thursday trading, following a surge on Wall Street that saw the Dow again top the 25,000 mark.

Japanese automakers were among the biggest gainers as the Nikkei NIK, +0.87%   climbed 0.9% and the dollar-yen USDJPY, -0.51%   hit fresh session highs of ¥110.21 soon after the opening bell. Toyota 7203, +0.71%   closed up 0.7%, Nissan 7201, +1.05%   gained 1.1% and Honda 7267, +0.74%   added 0.7%.

Chinese stocks joined the rest of the region in starting higher, though gains were slight and eventually faded. The Shanghai Composite SHCOMP, -0.18%   closed down 0.1%. It had risen three straight days coming into Thursday’s trading, climbing a combined 1.3%.
