Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 10 August 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 22,240.00 with a loss of -0.27%  percent or -60.00  point . The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 11,460.00  with a loss of  -0.24% percent or -27.55 point. The Hang Seng Future is trading at 28,240.00 with a loss of – 1.01% percent or -288.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Asian stock markets dropped in early trading Friday, as trade and broader geopolitical concerns continue to weigh on over investor sentiment.

Japan’s Nikkei NIK, -1.33%   was off 0.5% and barely hanging on to a weekly gain. Tokyo Electron 8035, -3.55%   was down 3.5% and Nintendo 7974, -2.41%   was off more than 1%. Inpex 1605, -3.93%   dropped 3.6% as Brent crude futuresLCOV8, -0.37% fell to their lowest level in almost a month. That came as the dollar USDJPY, -0.20%   remained just above ¥111 following Japan’s better-than-expected second-quarter GDP report — which had little impact on local markets. Yields for 10-year Japanese government bonds were off a half-basis-point at 0.105%.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,298.08 with a loss of -1.33% percent or -300.31 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,397.71  with a loss of -0.73% percent or -209.59 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,795.31 up with +0.033% percent or +0.93  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,957.63  with a loss of -0.18% percent or -66.74 point at 12:15 PM.
