Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 03 October 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 24,183.00 with a loss of -0.40% percent or -97.00 point .The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,985.80 with  a loss of -0.78% percent or -86.20 point.  The Hang Seng Future is trading at 27,083.50   up with +0.33% percent or +89.50 point.


Japan’s Nikkei share average snapped a four-day winning streak on Friday as investors stayed on the sidelines ahead of major economic events, while large-cap stocks such as SoftBank and Fanuc weighed on the index.

The Nikkei .N225 ended 0.6 percent lower at 22,694.50, just above the settlement price of June Nikkei futures JNIc1 and options 0#JNI*.OS contracts at 22,825.20, announced after market close.

The Nikkei is still up 2.4 percent for the week, its biggest gain in 11 weeks.

“There are major events to focus on now. The market is waiting for the Fed and ECB meetings to price in the results,” said Takuya Takahashi, a strategist at Daiwa Securities.

 For the day Nikkei 225 is trading at 24,110.96  with a loss of -0.66% percent or -159.66 point. the nifty closed at 10,942.05 with a loss of -0.60% percent or -66.25  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,075.04  with a loss of – 0.19% percent or -51.34 point. 


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,773.94  up with +0.46% percent or +122.73 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,923.43 with a loss of  -0.040% percent or -1.16  point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,999.55  with a loss of -0.47% percent or -37.76 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 24,110.96  with  a loss of -0.66% percent or -159.66 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,099.64  with  a loss of -0.099% percent or -26.74 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,821.35  up with +1.06% percent or  +29.58 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,456.05  with a loss of – 0.19% percent or -70.09 point at 12:15 PM.
