Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 06 December 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 21,563.00 up with +0.53% percent or +113.00 point . The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,724.00 with a loss of -0.96% percent or -120.9  point. The Hang Seng Future is trading at 26,173.50  with a loss of -2.21% percent or  -591.50 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Japan’s Nikkei closed at more than a five-week low on Thursday as chip-related stocks were hit after Canada arrested a top executive of Chinese tech giant Huawei at the request of the United States, threatening a new spike in Sino-U.S. tensions.

Losses intensified later in the session as index heavyweight SoftBank Group Corp 9984.T tumbled, hit by the news about Huawei and a partial disruption to its mobile phone service.
