Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 10 December 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 21,165.00  up with +0.12% percent or +25.00 point . The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,565.50  with  a loss of -1.58% percent or -169.65  point. The Hang Seng Future is trading at 25,729.00  with a loss of -1.33% percent or -340.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Sino-U.S. trade tensions were very much in the air, hitting global equities and pushing the Nikkei share average .N225 down 2.1 percent to 21,219.50 – the lowest closing level since Oct. 29. benchmark index has dived 13.2 percent from a 27-year high hit in early October.

Nissan Motor Co 7201.T was under the spotlight, as Tokyo prosecutors indicted the automaker along with its ousted Chairman Carlos Ghosn on Monday. Nissan’s share prices ended 2.9 percent lower.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,219.50 with a loss of -2.12% percent or -459.18 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,765.86  with a loss of -1.14% percent or -297.90 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,584.58  with a loss of -0.82% percent or  -21.31 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at  35,127.80  with a loss of -1.53% percent or ?546.42 point at 12:15 PM.
