Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 26 December 2018

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 19,377.50 up with +1.19% percent or +227.50 point .The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 10,656.80  with a loss of -0.39% percent or -41.50 point.  The Hang Seng Future is trading at 25,646.00 with a loss of-0.24% percent or -61.00 point.


Japan’s Nikkei, which plummeted into bear market territory the previous day, ended higher after seesawing on Wednesday, helped by short-covering.

The Nikkei share average .n225 closed 0.89 percent higher at 19,327.06, barely shaking off Tuesday’s 5.01 plunge – the steepest single-day decline in over two years.

The searing sell-off left the benchmark down about 21 percent from a 27-year peak scaled in early October, meaning it’s still in bear market territory entered during the previous session.

Nikkei seesawed in afternoon trade, dropping into the red and at one point losing more than 1 percent, before pulling back up in late trading to end the session in positive territory.


 For the day Nikkei 225 is trading at 19,327.06 up with +0.89% percent or +171.32 point.the nifty closed at 10,599.45  with a loss of -0.60% percent or -64.05point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,651.38  with a loss of -0.40% percent or -102.04 point. 


For the day the Dow is trading at 21,792.20  with a loss of  -2.91% percent or -653.17 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,351.10 with  a loss of -2.71% percent or -65.52 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 6,192.92  with a loss of -5.14% percent or  -335.49 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 19,327.06  up with +0.89% percent or +171.32 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,651.38   with a loss of -0.40% percent or -102.04 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,504.44  with a loss of -0.015% percent or  -0.38 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,254.92  with a loss of -0.61% percent or -215.23 point at 12:15 PM.
