Nikkei Futures Opening Update as on 25 September 2019

The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 21,742.50 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -57.50 point.The NSE Nifty Future is trading at 11,542.20 with a loss of -0.62% percent or -71.60 point. The Hang Seng Future is trading at 25,940.00 with a loss of  -1.35% percent or -354.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Japan’s Nikkei share average fell to a one-week low on Wednesday after U.S. lawmakers called for an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, while weak U.S. consumer confidence data heightened worries over the Sino-U.S. trade row.

The benchmark Nikkei average .N225 dropped 0.4% to 22,020.15, its lowest close since Sept. 18, while the broader Topix .TOPX dipped 0.2% to 1,620.08, tracking a dismal Wall Street session.

Both indexes climbed to their highest finish in five-months the previous day.
